Dear Mrs. Nawwab,
I am writing to you on behalf of ‘Perspektif’ magazine, which is a Turkish monthly news magazine, published in Germany and distributed throughout Europe. With a circulation of approximately 15.000, ‘Perspektif’ particularly deals with the most recent developments and issues, which concern the European Muslim community closely. Under this link (www.perspektif.eu) you can have a look at our magazine in order to get a better idea.
In Perspektif, we have a category called “One Question, Three People”. In this section, we ask three Muslim figures from around the world, mainly from Europe and USA, a question about their personal preferences or opinions on a subject and publish their answers in one page. If you check this link and page from our latest issue, it will be clearer what I mean: http:// http://perspektif.eu/sayi/2014/eylul/#57/z
For our October edition we would like to do one of our one-question-interviews with you on the following question:
The Irish/British poet Oscar Wilde says: “Society exists only as a mental concept; in the real world there are only individuals.” To what extent can a Muslim think just as an individual? To what extent can a Muslim avoid the society, in which s/he lives?
We will be grateful, if you give us a short answer of 50-70 words long. In case the answer to our request is positive, we will need one hi-res photo of you as well.
We hope to feel your help and get a positive response!
Best wishes and regards,
Bünyamin Kasap
